Where are the years going!?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Bloggers!

Instead of beating around the bush I might as well just get straight into it - can time just slow down a little? Please!?

I don't know whether I feel like the timespan of one week now is equivalent to one day because I am getting older, working and trying to figure out my life, but I just feel like all the days are turning ever so quickly into months and time goes by and I'm still carrying on doing the same old things.

Glancing over my basic, minimal posts of a blog, I have seen that I created this over one year ago - like what the actual F man! I have failed at blogging but am now telling myself to just get stuck back into it again. I am interested in fashion, music, movies - popular culture in general and also have fun just talking to others about it and expressing my love in an online, verbal context.

I've been setting myself goals too, hopefully in a few months I can have 20 followers on here. I currently have 2 and I thank you both, now I'm focussed on building this blog a little bigger.

The way I see it now is, time can go as fast as it wants, but I want to make every minute count, enjoy myself and most of all, just be happy with everything I am doing and each road I am taking in my life, it may not be easy on the way, but at the end of each task, each goal I achieve, I just hope for happiness.

Have a happy day bloggers!

My Affordable Fashion Dream Is Coming True!!

Hey!

Long time, no post! I've slacked majorly, and a thousand apologies are being made currently.

What I have come to talk about though is very exciting for Australians - Melbournians in particular. H&M is officially opening in April 2014 within Melbourne's GPO ! Oh golly, this is too exciting !

The plans for the opening of the store were announced a while ago, but within the last week, we have learnt it is definitely opening in April, 2014, which is great for Melbourne budding fashionistas who enjoy wearing current trends for an affordable price.

I have been to H&M twice in my life and enjoyed both trips and now I can't wait to see what the Melbourne store has to offer. I'm interested in how affordable the clothing can be and believe that it will easily compete with other young adult/adult clothing stores that are popular.

I have a few questions to anyone reading a) are you excited for the opening of H&M? b) is this the beginning of the introduction of more global retail stores arriving on Australian shores? and c) for those who don't live in Australia and already have to joys of shopping in great clothing stores, who are some of your favourite retailers?

Thanks for reading and happy shopping!

Song of the Week!

Hello Music Lovers,

It has been a while since I have posted here, especially a Song of the Week, so apologies!

This song is topping the charts and I have to say, I am obsessed!! 'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke feat. T.I and Pharrell is my latest musical love! With a mixture of soul, pop and an overall great beat, I find it the perfect song to cheer you up and dance to!

If you've not heard the song yet, I highly suggest that you check it out, it is a breath of fresh air amongst the iTunes chart as it has such a unique sound.

So let me know, what do you think of this latest chart topper? Love it? Hate it? Leave it in the comments!

Happy Dancing,

Mini Beauty Post!

Hello Beauty Lovers!

This is a short post today, but I am excited because my next post will be a review on the Covergirl Exact Eyelights Eyeshadow for Blue Eyes (even though I have brown eyes!)

I recently purchased this and am waiting to test it out and thought, why not make a blog post about it! When searching for other reviews on this product, I found minimal results, so hopefully this will help people who are in need of a review before they go out and purchase it!

Happy Blogging!

Seasons.

Good Afternoon Bloggers!

Summer departed us last week in Australia *tear face* but now I cannot wait for Winter!

Winter fashion seems to have hit a new high note as the styles for the season are just too amazing! If you're like me, you'll be trying to get your winter threads ASAP!

I recently purchased a black knit bobble beanie for $2!! I was shocked, to say the least and am now keeping a bargain hunting eye out for anymore cute winter deals!

Which trends are you looking forward to most wearing? Or, if you've just come out of winter, which trends should us in the Southern Hemisphere be keeping an eye on?

Happy Fashion Hunting!

Everyday Makeup Routine!

Hello, hello!

Firstly, I'd like to say that today I have decided to create another post and start using my blog more often! Yay! So, sorry for the lack of posts over the last month or two.

This post, as you may be able to see from the title, is my Everyday Makeup Routine! My everyday makeup is very natural and very basic, as you may be able to tell from my list of products and steps that I have listed down below. So, without further adue, enjoy reading and learning how I do my simple, easy makeup!

Step 1: Apply moisturiser to your face! Moisturiser is a definite must have before applying your makeup as it will help to smooth your skin and is just a great base for foundation. I use Nivea Light Moisturising Day Cream.

Step 2: Apply BB cream. I only recently discovered BB cream and have since fallen in love with it! It provides an adequate coverage for an everyday, natural look and I really recommend you trying it out! I use Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1 in the shade 'Light', but any BB cream will do :)

Step 3: Apply a creme powder foundation. I then apply a light coverage of my Revlon Photoready Compact Makeup which appears creamy but dries as a very light, barely noticeable powder. This product is great for setting your makeup and finishing off your face!

Step 4: Apply eyeliner: I apply a small amount of eyeliner to my top lid on the outer half of each eye. I find that this makes me eyes more defined and my eyelashes longer! I use Maybelline Line Express Pencil in the colour Brownish-Black. Because I have brown eyes, I like to use a brown eye liner to blend in with my eye colour and slightly lighter than black eyelashes!

Step 5: Apply mascara: To finish off my look (see, it is very basic!) I apply my mascara! I tend to apply more mascara to my top lid on the outer half of the eye, then apply a slightly lesser amount as I go towards my inner corner, again to make my eyes look bigger and my eyelashes look long and thick! I use Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous in the colour Brownish-Black.

And that is it! I hope you have enjoyed this post and as I said, the makeup look is very basic! It would be good for school makeup or just around the house, I even wear this out shopping quite often too!

Please leave your feedback, as I would love to read it!!

Happy Beautifying!

Aspirations

Hello to anyone reading!!

For a while now I have been watching vlogs and reading blogs and it all seemed like so much fun, so I decided..hey, why not make your own?
That is how 'stephanitus' came about :)
I'm happy that I finally decided to make this blog, I consider it a new challenge as I set myself little goals each day in hope that they will be achieved. Posting brings a lot of enjoyment and I feel happy with myself and confident after publishing each post.
If you're reading this post today and do not have a blog, but have always wanted one, I suggest that you take the risk. It's worth it. Let your creative juices flow :)

Happy Blogging,
